They were honest and very thorough in checking over the car and describing what needs to be repaired and replaced. They will send a report with descriptions and pictures which is very helpful in understanding what should be done. I am not familiar with prices of parts for vehicles, but from some quick googling their costs were very reasonable. I would recommend going here!

I brought my mustang cobra in after one of my cylinders started to misfire. Even though I knew what the issue was they still inspected the vehicle before preforming the work I wanted done, which might upset some people, but I found that to be smart and professional. They are not cheap, but again that is not a bad thing, you get what you pay for and I respect that. They also did a much broader inspection on my car and found other issues that I plan on addressing soon. I’m currently doing some research on my car while also looking into what parts I want to use for my future maintenance repairs. Brain is cool and the technician (Dominick) that worked on my car also owns a mustang, which was very cool to see! I will probably contact them again soon to get quotes on a brake service repair.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ DAC is absolutely, hands down, AMAZING!!! They were quick and efficient, honest and provide such a high level of service you just don't see very often anymore from others. They even vacuumed out our mommy missile and gave it a much needed bath, the cherry on top to great service!!!

My car was vandalized earlier in the year. Although they had to deal with my difficult insurance, they were desirably priced and able to work with me in a tough situation. They were close to my house and got my car back to me quickly!

I will never take my car anywhere else. I was able to get in quickly, a diagnostic report was sent to me via text and I was able to see any issues that my vehicle had. I took it in for an oil change and an AC recharge and when I went to pick it up it was washed and vacuumed. Customer service was top notch and everything was explained in detail!

Brian did a full re-evaluated of the system used to diagnose my daughter's car and did an update to the main program. He also refunded my money. I really appreciate how he reached out so quickly to my review, how concerned he was to the unintentional error and how he didn't hesitate to make any necessary improvements. Brian cares about his business and that shows. Last month, my U of O daughter called TripleA because her car battery was dead. She requested a jump-start or tow to Toyota & the AAA guy told her to go to Downtown Auto & that they could recharge the battery for a better price. She was able to drive the car & left it with Brian. He ran full diagnostics & told her the battery couldn't hold a charge & the alternator was broken. Priced it at $750 to fix. I called & spoke with Brian myself, to make sure I understood what the problem was. He was very nice, sounded very professional & explained everything to me. I decided to have my daughter drive the car to Toyota for a 2nd opinion (since they replaced the battery last year). Brian charged me about $93 for running the diagnostics & I felt it was ok for his time. BUT, Toyota ran the diagnostics & they came back with "Nothing is wrong with the battery or the Alternator that we can see" They did explain there might be & we will know over the next days to a couple of weeks if the battery dies again. It's been almost one month and the car is fine. Also, they did NOT charge me anything to run the same diagnostics. Nothing. I also want to add that if the car did need what Brian explained, Toyota gave me a much lower price. So, that all being said, I absolutely do not know if Downtown Auto was being honest or just looking to make it into something else. IF I would've agreed to fixing the car, I would've never known. He sounded very knowledgeable & I had no reason to doubt him except the price was a bit high. I am not telling you he is dishonest but I am telling you I am glad I went for a 2nd opinion to Toyota and won't be going back to Downtown Auto. Read more

4 photos I have a 2017 Volkswagen Passat. My warranty ended at the end of last year. I was going to the dealership for all of my service needs, but had heard some good things about this place and wanted to try it out. My Dad is a mechanic who works out of his home garage so I like to support local business whenever possible. I am happy I made the call for my 30,000 mile service and oil change. Brian was very professional and Brandon in the front office was knowledgeable and courteous too. I was provided a loaner vehicle for the day while they worked on my car and was sent a detailed Inspection notice through text with a link I could access, so there wouldn't be any surprises when I went to pick up my car. There were even multiple photos of my car in the inspection which was nice. The price was comparable to the dealership (maybe even a little cheaper) and the personal attention I received was better than any dealership I have ever dealt with. I will continue to bring my business to Downtown Automotive. You should check them out, and support local!
