I've had bad experiences with many auto repair shops before to the point of not trusting shops anymore. I gave Downtown automotive a chance and I was not let down. They are the only shop to ever get my car in the same day I called, which is absolutely unheard of. They answered my many questions and gave explanations and even took me around back to show me what they were talking about. I had brought in my 1996 4Runner for electrical issues and the second time when my power steering rack went out. I appreciate the follow up they do to make sure everything is still working well days after. The best part of choosing Downtown Automotive was that I wasn’t worried about them getting the job done currently.

I am quite pleased with the recent work done on my vehicle at Downtown Automotive. Their service was honest, thorough, and reasonably priced.

Got some new tires put on. Someone came and picked up my car and left me a loaner in case I needed to leave. Brought my car back faster than I expected. They did a great job.

As someone who doesn’t know a whole lot about fixing vehicles, I trust them to know what is needed and not needed. They have taken good care of both of my beloved VW’s.

I had an overall good experience with these guys, they inspect everything when they look at your car which was extremely helpful and reassuring in my case. As a woman, going into a mechanic is always scary and dreadful, but they made me feel comfortable and actually listened. They found a lot of things wrong with my car that I didn't even realize were going on, and they gave great details and information on what they found and what the next steps were. In the end, I decided it wasn't worth it to pay the $4,000+ repair costs, and decided to have them junk it. They ended up putting the money in to fix it and sell it to someone who needs it, and I moved on to a new more reliable car. It was a little weird seeing my old car up for sale given the circumstances, but I was able to talk to them and get clarification and I can honestly say that they learned from this case and will be more even more transparent with similar cases in the future. Overall a good learning experience for both parties, and I would definitely recommend bringing your car here versus other shops because they check everything and find things that other shops in the area miss! Even though I can only review their customer service since I didn't end up having anything fixed, I think it's worth a shot trying their shop out. Just don't be scared to ask questions and get clarification, especially if you're a woman or someone who knows nothing about cars!

Seems like they did a good job.Haven’t driven much since then.A pretty decent turnaround time. I hope it’ll be awhile before I see them again.Nothing against them.Kinda like going to the dentist.Its gonna hurt but ya gotta do it.
